Project: Sage Market & Wine Bar; Mendota Heights, Minnesota

Client: Kowalski Partnerships, LLC

This unique combination of a small deli/grocery store and wine bar features sustainable/green design. The focal point of the wine bar is a 25 foot wide granite and tile water wall, which incorporates a fireplace and hearth.  Also, a lounge area makes use of wine racking as a screen wall to allow privacy for larger groups, without blocking the natural light of the storefront windows.  Another interesting feature is the bar itself, which is clad in a bamboo veneer with a top made of 300 year old timbers, reclaimed from the bottom of Lake Superior.
