Historic Renovations includes redesigning and restoring, essentially recreating the original theme, concept, and image which defines the historic relevance of the structure. We then link the past with the present. Oftentimes, there are constraints placed on the designer, such as the location of a building in an historic district or the recreation of a historically significant part of the architecture.
Joining the past with the present can sometimes be the most challenging part of historic renovation. Harriss Architects works very closely with our construction partners to develop cost-effective solutions for potentially very expensive designs to recreate the architecture of the past.
